Application Account Setup

What is Application Account

Application Account is API-specific authentication Account for accessing from a third party tool (e.g. bid management tool) to your account via Yahoo! JAPAN Promotional Ads API.

Note
Please create Application Account only if the tool provider who has implemented Yahoo! JAPAN Promotional Ads API request to you. If you do not use third party tools, you do not have to set up Application Account.

*Administrator role is required to refer or edit Account information and Application Account settings.

Create Application Account

Steps
  1. Click the [YDN] tab of the Campaign Management Tool.
  2. Click the [Review] button for the account you want to edit.
  3. The "Account Information" screen will be displayed. Click [Create New Application Account] in the upper right corner of the page.
  4. Set a password for application account on Create Application Account.
  5. Click the [Create] button.


Please be sure to notify the tool provider who has requested you once you complete application account set up. The tool provider needs following information.

  • Account ID
  • Application Account ID
  • Application Account Password
Note
Please use third party tool and handle the information of application account under your responsibility. Yahoo! JAPAN is not responsible any trouble by using third party tool.

 

How to change an application account

Please follow the method below to change the application account information you have already set up:
* Only 'Status Settings' and 'Password Settings' can be change.

Steps
  1. Click the [YDN] tab of the Campaign Management Tool.
  2. Click the [Review] button for the account you want to edit.
  3. Click either [Change the application account settings (Status: Active)] or [Change the application account settings (Status: Paused)] in the upper right corner of the page.
  4. Change the settings in the "Edit Application Account Settings" screen.
  5. Click the [Change Settings] button to save the changes.
